Apalachee High School debrief

From Tom Czyz

Rob,

This was outstanding work by the SROs at the school. You can see the other failures in the report. Can you please send this out to all of your CPASS members?

It is with a heavy heart that I share the debrief report for the Apalachee High School active assailant incident that occurred on September 4, 2024. This marks the 62nd school attack I have responded to since December 2012. The initial report was completed on September 16, 2024, and we anticipate making updates as more information becomes available.

We understand that many are asking how the attacker managed to bring an AR-15 into the school. Unfortunately, he carried the weapon in his backpack, with the top portion sticking out, covered by a piece of poster board to make it appear as though he was carrying a project. He was picked up by a school bus, dropped off at the school, and carried the weapon with him throughout the morning.

Please note that this investigation is still in its early stages, and some details may be subject to change. We strive to provide the most accurate information possible, relying on eyewitness interviews and evidence collected on the scene.

We encourage you to review the details of this report and use them to enhance your school's or organization's safety measures. If you have any questions or need further insights, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at Armoured One.

If you would like to have Armoured One provide a keynote presentation on this attack or any other past attacks, please visit www.tomczyz.com for more information.

Please feel free to share this report with any law enforcement personnel, school administrators, school board members, or architects who may benefit from learning about the events and our findings.

Together, we can work to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Godspeed,

Tom
